Fall 2016 Illustration

Carolina Scientific is looking for art pieces to accompany the great articles in its Fall 2016 issue! If you're interested in illustrating for the magazine, contact Ami (amishi@live.unc.edu) or Nirja (sutaria@live.unc.edu) and we'll tell you more about the process and potential themes for which you'd be creating artwork. If you have existing scientific art pieces, send them our way as well so we can see if they'd be a good fit for the magazine. Final submissions due by Wednesday, October 26th.

Copy Editing Information Session

It's time for some Carolina Scientific copy editing! You should get involved. We'll soon be proofreading the submitted articles for spelling, grammatical, and formatting errors. Copy editing is an extremely important way to get involved with the magazine. 

Ben Penley, the CS Copy Editor, will be holding an information session on March 23rd (Wednesday) at 8pm in Bingham 309. It should last about twenty minutes. Please e-mail jpenley@live.unc.edu if you're interested in attending the session OR if you can’t make the session but would like to copy edit.

Scientific Illustrator deadline

Carolina Scientific magazine is looking for scientific illustrators for our Spring 2016 issue! This is an opportunity to have your art published full-color in a printed magazine about the research that goes on at UNC. We are looking for artists who are interested in doing a piece on plants, neural networks, antibodies, neutrinos, etc. For more information, please email Tracie Hayes at hayeste@live.unc.edu ASAP.
